Ilash designer lash extensions

Eyelash extensions are individual false eyelashes that are applied to the natural eyelashes. They extend existing lashes in both length and thickness to give a fantastic new look. They will enhance the appearance beyond expectations because they will look bigger, wider and brighter. With Ilash designer eyelash extensions we can create glamorous full lashes that look natural. The lashes come in various lengths and thickness and are manufactured from manmade polyester fibre, shaped to mimic the natural eyelash and adhered to the natural lash using a specialised adhesive.

FAQ’s

How long do they last?

Human eyelashes have a natural lifecycle and at any one time they are all at different stages in that lifecycle which means we actually lose every day. This is called natural shedding and is totally natural so providing you follow the aftercare advice the lashes will last for the lifetime of the lash they are adhered to usually around 4-6 weeks, Infill’s are recommended every 2 -3 weeks in order to maintain a full look.

How long is the appointment?

Lash extensions – 2 hours

Lash infill – 1 hour

Iappeal – 45 mins

Party lashes – 30 mins

Eyelash tint – 30 mins

Eyebrow tint 15 mins

Working with eyelashes is a meticulous process and requires patience and concentration to create the perfect set of lashes. Clients are invited to lie down and relax while the procedure is taking place.

How are the eyelash extensions applied?

A single natural lash is isolated and a synthetic lash is glued to the top of your own natural eyelash approximately 1 mm from the eyelid so neither the glue or lash has contact with the skin.

How are the lower lashes held down?

Ora beauty likes our clients to feel comfortable, lower lashes are held down with a specially designed soft gel pad impregnated with collagen. We never use surgical tape.

Do eyelash extension cause harm to my lashes?

No, when the lashes are applied professionally and are lost during the natural shedding process there will be no affect on the natural lashes, however, If a lash extension is pulled out it will bring the natural lash along with it, the body will take around 6 – 8 weeks to replace the lash, therefore it is important never to pull a lash extension and let natural shedding take place.

Can I still wear eye makeup?

Yes, but use oil free make up and remover ensuring that no product migrates onto the eyelash extensions. Oil free mascaras or 1 especially formulated to use with eyelash extensions may be used. Comb through the lashes each morning gently to separate and cleanse with dampened cotton buds.

Can I curl or perm eyelash extensions?

No, using eyelash curlers would damage your eyelash extensions, if a curlier look is desired then the lashes can be permed prior to eyelash extension application and the eyelash extensions used would be a rounder C shape.

I had eyelashes applied a few days ago and some have fallen out already – why?

Unfortunately it is difficult to determine which lash is ready to fall out naturally and so it is unpredictable when applying synthetic lashes. Each day we can lose 3-5 natural lashes; this process is more noticeable if it has a lash extension attached as the lash appears thicker and darker.

What are infills, why do I need them and how often do I need them?

Infills are required to replace lashes that have fallen out due to the natural shedding process. To achieve a consistently full fresh set of lashes an infill will be required every 2 – 3 weeks.

Can I open my eyes during the procedure?

Yes, just let your therapist know first.

Can the lashes be removed?

Yes, at any time the lashes can be safely removed however there will be a removal charge. The removal causes no harm to your natural lashes.

Safety

Patch test

A mandatory patch test is required for all eye treatments except if the treatment has already been carried out by Ora beauty within 6 months and if there have been no changes to medical history within this time. A patch test is required even if the client has had the treatment many times at a different establishment. Different salons use different products with different ingredients, an allergic reaction could occur at any time. Ora beauty takes your safety seriously.

EU manufactured adhesives

Unfortunately, there is an increasing importation of so called “medical grade” adhesives from Asia which can cause client and therapist reactions from puffiness and red eye to serious infections such as conjunctivitis, all our adhesives are made in the EU to reach EU manufacturing standards.

Product quality

Ilash designer products are extensively tested and are safe for both clients and therapists. Ilash adhesives and remover are manufactured in Europe to EU standards thereby ensuring compliance with the EU 2004 Cosmetic safety regulations and the very latest EU REACH legislation. The EU REACH regulations are designed to prohibit the import of non EU manufactured chemical products for use on the human body. Despite being falsely claimed as “medical grade” these imported Asian, Australian and American adhesives and removers are in fact generally based on industrial formulas and widely reported to be causing increasing incidences of severe client reactions ranging from red eye and puffiness to sensitisation and even conjunctivitis.

Eye lash & Brow Tinting

Eyelash & Brow tinting is a procedure that darkens the brows and natural top & bottom lashes. Lashes can be tinted, black or brown depending on the desired look you wish, while colours can be mixed to tint the eyebrows to achieve a very natural blended look.

Lash tint will give the effect of longer fuller lashes as the lash is almost always lighter at the root and tip. A brow tint adds definition to frame the face. Eyelash & Brow tints are great for accentuating natural features.

Before & After care

FAQ’S

What is the procedure?

Once you arrive at the salon, you will be given a consultation to discuss the procedure and desired results. Your therapist will prepare the eye area and then apply a small amount of vegetable dye onto your eyelashes. Lie back and relax in comfort while the lashes are tinted. After allowing to develop, the dye is removed with water, cotton buds and cotton rounds. Some eye gel may be applied to finish the procedure.

How long do the results last?

Around 2 weeks.

Is eyelash tinting safe?

Eyelash tinting is not dangerous, with the dye typically being made from a vegetable-based dye. This minimises irritation around the eyes and is the reason that the tinting is not permanent.

Can I wear mascara after having my eyelashes tinted?

Yes.

How long does it take?

Because the whole procedure takes just 30 minutes – it can fit into the busiest of schedules.
