The rise of ethical beauty trends continue, last month saw record numbers of people worldwide signing up for Veganuary. The stats are not in for this year however, I can reveal that 250,000 signed up. Last year there were 168,500 signups with statistics showing that for every person signed up there were 12 family members or friends also involved. From those figures a massive 62% of people vowed to remain vegan and the numbers will continue to rise.
For me, Veganism is not just about what we eat and drink its about how we consume. How are our products produced? Are they ethically positive? And it’s not just about what we are putting in our bodies but how we treat our bodies too. We want to feel good about making our choices.
At Ora Beauty, we want to be able to offer a choice to our clients too and we are pledging to search for ethically positive and vegan products and treatments where ever possible. We want to make it easy for our clients to recognise the ethical status of our treatments and products.
Some of the treatments we provide are already vegan and include our Nouveau eyelash extensions and our Henna International Brow treatments. This month we will be launching vegan intimate waxing to our menu and adding information regarding animal friendly / animal testing policies for all products used at Ora Beauty. For extra clarity every vegan treatment will be seen with a V symbol to recognise vegan status on our price list.
We want all our clients to enjoy every aspect of their visit to Ora Beauty, animal welfare and environmental issues are not usually associated with having our nails done or getting a wax, but hey, if it makes our world just that little bit better, then why not?
